About the Publisher:
The Visayas Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (ViSERDAC) based at Visayas State University (VSU), Philippines is a research and capacity building unit established through the support of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD). It serves as the first socio-economic research and data analytics center in the Visayas, designed to strengthen research capability, promote data-driven decision-making, and support evidence-based policy formulation in the fields of economics, agriculture, natural resources, and rural development. The center provides access to advanced analytical tools, computing facilities, socio-economic datasets, publication and other resources that help researchers, faculty, students and partners conduct basic, applied and impact-oriented studies. ViSERDAC serves as a regional knowledge hub in the Visayas. It conducts training, workshops, research and community engagement that enhances socio-economics and promote sustainable development in the Visayas region
ViSERDAC publishes the journal titled Review of Socio-Economic Research and Development Studies (ReSERDS). ReSERDS is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that advances scholarly discourse on socio-economics, development and policy concerns in the Philippines particularly in the Visayas region. It also accepts contributions from scholars and practitioners across divers context around the globe and particularly those studies focusing from the Global South. The ReSERDS is an essential part of ViSERDAC’s knowledge dissemination service providing link between research, policy and practice.
