It aims to serve as an integrating platform for researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, educators and relevant stakeholders who are interested in socio-economics and development studies. Socio-economic research is an integral part of societal progress. It focuses on how the society is changing with respect to policies, social processes, environment and economic development among others. It is mainly concerned with people’s welfare as the country develops.

The scope of this journal is open to contributions from all established fields in economics and applied social sciences. The ReSERDS will not only usher the publication of high-quality, cutting-edge socio-economic research but practitioners and researchers from natural sciences and other related disciplines who highlights socio-economic concerns are all welcome to publish their research findings. We envision that this journal will journey towards elucidating socio-economic systems, processes and dynamics that are deemed to be important contributors to the general welfare of society as the economy develops.

The list of problems and challenges mankind is facing is quite long and complicated. This journal will hopefully provide inputs and scientifically sound socio-economic information to policymakers, researchers, and practitioners that will be helpful in tackling complex socio-economic and development issues. The maiden issue of this journal already covers a breadth of topics from micro and macro perspectives offering salient information in relation to society’s challenges.
